Bluetooth speaker NUMBER 2!
Built with wood reclaimed from a shipping pallet dumped by Mount Pleasant Park in Sheffield.
This was my second experiment with bringing the beauty of Bluetooth to reclaimed wood. The pallet wood was re-seasoned for six months before being planed, sanded and glued to form a block. I then hollowed out the inside for the speakers and electronics, made a nice face-plate and attached the back panel with magnets. The rope is a piece of very special 8mm Organic Help rope from one of my other projects.
It looks fab – I’m well impressed with the dignity this once abandoned and neglected wood has, and it sounds great too!
Before even going up on this site, it was purchased by someone I first met over 25 years ago who used a little online bulletin board I hosted – this was long before the Internet as we now know it. I’m proud and honoured 🙂
